7.       Discussion of Appointments to the Glenns Ferry Urban Renewal       Agency Board:  approve the Mayor and City Council to be on the                        initial URA Board of Commissioners by JR & DP

 

8.       Update of the GF Recreational Trail Committee by Ralph Jones:                          update by Mr. Jones

 

9.       Update on the Transportation Plan Process by Jeff Cook:  update by                 Mr. Cook with the next step of a special joint meeting of City                     Council and Zoning Commission on 5-24-11 at 6:00 pm to                          approve plan

 

10.     Department Updates and Planning Analysis:

          A.       Parks & Recreation – Public Works Director Jeff Cook:                                            presented

          B.       Cemetery – Public Works Director Jeff Cook:  presented

 

          general workshops on 6-28-11 and 7-12-11 for direction for the                               approval of the tentative budget on 7-26-11 for the budget                             public hearing on 8-23-11

         

11.     Mayor & City Council Updates & Comments:

         

          Mayor:  GF School District sent a thank you for City Crew installing                    the new crosswalk signs on Bannock Street

 

12.     City Department Reports:

          A.       Police – Captain Bob Peace:  absent

          B.       Library – Lily Hampton:  absent

          C.       Building – Vance Pruett:  absent

          D.       Fire – Chief Bob Janousek:  siren part is in – install soon

          E.       Public Works – Jeff Cook:  clean-up week May 23-27

          F.       City Treasurer – Debra Rowan:  nothing

          G.      City Clerk – Will Berg:  nothing

                   

13.     Public Comments (please limit comments to 3 minutes – no decision       can be made on these issues):

 

          David Payne – disappointed with the decision on the selection                             of URA Board; City Council has no vision; it is a slap in the                       face with your decision; submitted names for board

 

          Nate Jones – unhappy about URA Board selection; City Council                          doesn’t have any vision; need to cut the budget

         

          Jill Laib – disappointed with the people on the URA Board;                                  Economic Development and Revitalization Committees                               submitted names; need to cut the budget; need to fix the                          roads; attract businesses; a lot of resources out there
